Cellulitis
10 Answers
Just been in A&E all afternoon after my wrist became very sore, hot and red...it also swelled a little.
This happened yesterday morning when i woke up and originally put it down to the way i slept. But the pain was excrutiating so went to GP who sent me straight to hospital.
The thing is, i got a very small rose thorn in my finger....on the same hand as the infection, on monday. Is this a potential cause of the problem. I've been a profesional gardener for 31 years and never had probs before.

Once was a scrape in a swimming pool, the bacteria got in, the other was post op.
It's just one of those things, I assume you're now on antibiotics?
I'd say 100% the thorn was enough to let in the germs. The scrape on my foot was minimal.Post op was a different scenario...
Keep it clean, do what you're told and you'll be fine in a few days.
