When we lived in Devon I used to get up in the night for a pee on average once a week, since moving to Wales I now get up in the night at leat once a night and often twice.

Yes I have, it was brilliant, we see a lot of red kites around here, not so many on the farm but many in the area, I love to see them, amazing great birds!

We don't see them on Anglesey but we get the usual Buzzards and Kestrels by the main roads but we have seen them over the Denbigh Moors area. Been to Gigryn 3 times now and amazed at how many birds congregate there and the varying species and even what appears to be an albino kite. Terrific viewing - took Gs breath away the first time she saw the feeding.

Could it be due to extra heavy gravity due to living three parts of the way up a mountain?

I think you are onto something JJ, I have a thermos vaccum flask, if I fill it at the bottom of the mountain I could eliminate flaw in the "ambient pressure" proposition and then rush to the top of the mountain to drink it... problem solved and a restfull sleep at last!!
