Morning all from a rather chilly Manchester. What has everyone got planned for today?

I'm having a lazy morning watching old CSI Vegas episodes then am heading into town for a read of my book in a coffee shop before a bit of a wander round the sales, see if I can grab any bargains. Main (hopefully bargain) purchase is one of those fancy mops which squirt cleaner as they go and have a nice long handle for no bending...such is the excitement in my life haha :) Hopefully some books too.

Our day too will be a lazy one, although I expect most of it will be taken up with coming to terms with Windows 8 on the new laptop we bought yesterday.

Sounds good :) I think it's about 5/6 degrees today, I think I'm just feeling the cold more as I get older!

Morning, Eve......my daughter goes back home today. She loves to cook and bake and experiment with new recipes.......

My kitchen looks.......used would be the polite word.....so my afternoon will be spent getting it back to its normal unused state............. :-(

Oh dear, I know my place in my mum's kitchen haha :) Hope you got lots of nice goodies to make up for it though.

I need to start a big clear out! Been doing little bits at a time but need to start ringing charity shops to see if they can collect stuff I've amassed to go for them as would be good to get my spare room back, hopefully not to just fill with more stuff!

I've got a cold. Didn't get much sleep as my nose was blocked and no amount of nasal spray seemed to unblock it. Throat is really sore as well and my head hurts.

I'm waiting for a shopping delivery. Good job I put the order through as I don't want to go out and about the way I'm feeling.

I think I caught a chill from walking home in the rain during one of the storms last week. I should've got the bus but the traffic was at a standstill and it would've taken ages to get home.

I was soaked by the time I got to my parents to pick Little Tiggs up. I needed to put a towel on the car seat!

I'm supposed to be working tomorrow so I'll dose myself up with something tonight.

My daughter is here from London so we'll be having a few beers out this afternoon.

Visitors just gone - lovely to see people, but will be nice to slob out with a quiet beer now.

Actually I was about to say 'a quiet sherry', but apparently that has caused my virility and indeed sexual preferences to be questioned in another place ... now where did I put my crochet work?

Well I've been a busy little bee and finished my outstanding CPD points for the year - go me. And at least I avoided the website crashing when everyone logs on in a panic tomorrow. So now I am going to go and get my brand spanking new pasta machine out of the box and make something delicious for supper.

I've got rid of the rellies after a week of them which has been exhausting.

Looking forward to a spot of roast chicken tonight and a lot of wine.

Have a stack of books and DVDs to enjoyninthe coming days/weeks.
