Aloe Vera Gel~ Any Thoughts?

I have just started using (Organic) Aloe Vera Gel,from Holland and Barrett,on a (Facial) Skin Condition;and it seems to be working wonders.However,I would appreciate your (good or bad) comments, or experiences of Aloe Vera Gel.

Hi mystress Aloe Vera Gel is fantastic for lots of things not only skin conditions - cuts and scratches heal better after Aloe has been applied it even relieves the itching of bites, and takes the sting out of stings. I've got a huge plant of it and even use it on the dog - he had an infected bite and I snapped of a leaf and squeezed the sap onto the wound - it had started to heal nicely within 24 hours. Give me natural remedies any day!

I have IBS and I take an Aloe Vera Gel capsule every day - it works wonders.  I've recommended it to a friend of mine who also suffers with IBS and she's had the same great results from it.  My boyfriend has eczema and he uses the gel  when he gets an attack.  It's wonderful stuff!

Like everyone else mystress, I can't praise it enough.

I was bitten by a jumping spider in Florida way before the Aloe Vera plant  had become well known in the UK.  My arm swelled to double its size and I collapsed due to  the poison in my system. Thankfully one of the staff (from Georgia) gave my husband a knife and told him to hack a piece off this huge six foot  plant from the garden and then smear the jelly on my arm. Talk about a miracle, half an hour later I still felt a bit groggy but my arm was back to normal!

I wouldn't suggest a plant as vast as this but one kept in the kitchen is always handy for all the ailments that spangle and bel have mentioned.

I bought aloe vera preparations for my skin and eyes rom the Body Shop and ended up with a bright red rash and swollen eyes!  I think I am the exception that proves the rule.  I have never tried anything containing it since..

i used higher nature aloe vera triple strength gel on my acne and its completely gone after 10 years of trying everything.i also use it on th wierd bite i get whenever ive been to see my horse! i also use green people aloe shampoo which is also excellent.
