I live in the same town I have always lived and there is nothing wrong with the place, I have itchy feet though for some reason. For the right job I would move.
When it comes to retirement or if I can do it sooner financially I would like to be abroad

I've lived all over the UK during my working life, jd - so perhaps that's why I'm content where I am, at this stage of my life. Good transport links to where I need to get to, relatively low cost of living in this corner, my friends are here, I've lived in this house 15 years. The future may be different, but as with so many ambitions, it all boils down to being able to afford them.
It's nice to see that most of us so far are pretty happy.
My flat is near the town centre. I sold my house to move here, because I love it here. I never need to use a car anywhere in the town. I can walk to the shops, bars pubs, clubs. I can cycle to the gym. I can see the sea from my window.
I couldn't think of anywhere that I'd rather live. Unless you count Gstaad.
