Daughter's Prom. Thank You

Thank you again to all those who responded.
I've spoken to my parents and they were fine. We've looked up the small print and we only lose a £200 deposit for the holiday....but my parents gain the fact that they don't have to pay £900 for her to go !!!!
I will pay £100, and my daughter will pay the other £100.
With regards to the prom itself....yes it's Americanised crap, but to an excited 15/16 year old, it's the best day of their lives...the dress shopping, the shoe shopping, the discussions about who goes into which limo with who, the make up, the hair styles, the jewelry, the fingernail art....believe me, this is damn important to a youngster.
Ive had to trawl through dress after dress after dress on the internet....but do you know what, i don't care and i'm hopefully going to make this the best day of her young life so far.
Thanks again
