I suffer from mild rosacea on my face and as a result have to use a sun cream, factor 50 which seems to be the highest available. My usual skin cream also has UV protection, as does the foundation I use. Is the result still factor 50, or does it all add up to a higher number when applied together.
As a matter of interest, I was told that a factor 80 was available but have never been able to find it. Does anyone know of it?

I would think that the overall factor is that of the highest factor product you have on your skin, not the sum. After all, if you put two applications of factor 50 sun cream on, it's still factor 50, not 100.
I think I've seen factor 60 somewhere possibly in South Africa, where the sun is much stronger than here, but never 80.
Neutrogena do 80 and 100 spf creams. They are over the counter in the States but I think you can buy them on Amazon. Their face ones are the only ones I can use that don`t make my eyes sting and are waterproof and rubproof. I wouldn`t use anything else on my face.
