Body and Soul can be anything from face cream recommendations, holistic therapies, exercise programmes and more. None of those are definitive so a disclaimer is not really needed. A disclaimer is needed when needing medical advice and that is what is in place here.
ummmm, I think Sqad has explained in the past that "no big deal" means "you won't die of it". I do sometimes feel that he might acknowledge a halfway house between "it's minor" and "it's fatal", since that's where most ailments lie.
Poor squad's really getting a kicking tonight.
Sqad!
I agree. I bet he`s saying "Blimey, I wish I had never asked". I know I would
I know, jno, but I still feel it's too dismissive.
I think "No big deal" means that something isn`t life-threatening. I can quite understand that.
I must admit that. 'it's nothing to worry about' would sound better than. 'it's no big deal'
It`s just a turn of phrase though. Does it really matter?
It matters when it matters to you, 237.
Yes, I think it does. What might appear to be 'no big deal' on a website might be completely different if you seen that person in the flesh.
Bit mean having a go at Sqad when he doesn't seem to be around to defend himself. If you are new to the site you probably would take everyones advice with a bit of salt and if you are familiar with other posters on here then you will take their advice in the way you see fit.
Well that is the nature of the internet, I guess. You can`t see peoples` faces. "It`s nothing to worry about" tends to make people wary because they think that you are coming out with a stock reply when in scary situations (IMO) "No big deal" is something that I have been known to come out with in such situations and I can`t say that I have noticed any difference.
wish you lot ..you know who you are..would stop having a go at sqad...he gives his opinions and leaves you to act on them..he does so with extensive experience and knowledge..be grateful he even considers trying to help...so..lay off our friend !....Sqad..come back darlin'...xx
He is also big and ugly enough to stick up for himself and doesn't need you constantly defending him.
Hear, hear, Murraymints.
And is it true that sales of ibuprofene have plummeted since he's stopped posting here?
ummmmm....give it a rest !...no need for such aggressive responses.. I am merely expressing my opinion...I value Sqad and his input here...I am not defending him...he is able to do so himself as you said...but I would rather he be here than not !
sqad has maturity I respect more than my kiddy-GPs. Am not GP friendly (if it works blah blah).
and he is not ugly.....!!!... :o)
how dyou know mm?
