you are the parent and she is the child. You are not there to win a popularity contest, you are there to ensure that she can eventually face the world without you.
Children need boundaries and respond well when they know what the rules are. You need to make her see that there are other things in life besides TV, although TV can be used to inspire other activities. If the TV is not on then she will be able to use her own imagination to fill her day.
Encourage her to do other things by joining in with her. If she cannot knit teach her, if she cannot sew teach her, if she has trouble reading read with her. And if you cannot knit or sew, learn together.
There are plenty of other activities she can engage with, both sedentary and active, and not to forget socialising with people around her own age, which, of course, I do not know.
But never forget.....you are the parent!

You are the parent not her friend. Do things together go for a walk, go to a local park, things that cost little or nothing. Depending on her age set her a weekly limit, let her earn a small amount if extra time by doing chores/behaving, have a chart in the kitchen so she can see her progress, that way she can have some impact. Go to the library get books out. If she is older she needs a job, to do voluntary work. Set boundaries that are reasonable and be consistent.
