Sorry Waldo, I seem to have mistaken this site for an open forum via which participants can hope to gain and be entertained by/from a variety of advice, knowledge, opinion and belief from a fairly broad member-base. I also seem to be labouring under the false belief that many postings are submitted in a pithy/lighthearted/flippant voice.
If i touched a raw nerve, i do apologise. I'll stick to questions about the ongoing husbandry of mongooses.
but (just for the record) i wasn't trying to "establish" anything. and no, the " 'question' " to which you so splendidly sneeringly referred as "actually just an opinion" was indeed a question. If you are having problems with it, I can juggle the words a little - add some context, re-define my reference base...
"I have never particularly liked moustaches, though am prepared to countenance the views of those Answer Bank contributors who may think differently and I would value any opinions on the matter."

apologies if i seemed a little over-zealous in my reply earlier! i did get out of the wrong side of the bed this morning. and indeed, the wrong bed.

a) ridiculous
b) like a stereotype
c) scary
apologies to all those non ridiculous / scary / stereotyped mustachionados out there. i have my reasons...
If you're going to have one, make it a good one, like merv hughes, the legendary Aussie cricketer

pixi! we too are clearly as wrong-headed as each other! I instantly intuited what you meant. i blame gestalt theory.
As for the spitfire fighter pilot/wing commander - i stand corrected - tashes are the biz.
And, Albert Park (great moniker, btw) maybe these are the reingleaders to which pixi freudianly referred (/re-furred)
