A wet and miserable one, but Friday nevertheless. :o}
Foxy was in last night, not looking too bad a condition. I reckon he might be two timing me and getting fed somewhere else too. Good luck to the cheeky little git! :o} Tiggy was his usual self, eat what I put out for him then went on slug and snail patrol. He's learned that if he doesn't do his job he doesn't get fed.
Got the gas man coming at 10 today to do the annual check. I wonder if he will want the Dandy or the Beano. So I shall have to be out and back by then.
Bit sore from yesterday....wired fence planted new plants..dug out the standings I have for stone planters and ornaments and put down New chips...New bark on beds....cut edged and fed lawn ...cleared patio got it brushed and half way done with jet wash.... need to move all the pots and get rest finished today...empty some pots and get ready for planting up....don't think I'll do so many as last year, had more than 100 ..but say that every year !!
I need to have a rest! So do you methinks. But I'm sure it will look wonderful when you have finished. The garden looks lovely in the photos you sent me some time ago. Still, all that exercise will keep your lovely figure in trim won't it. ;o}
Once patio is cleaned and planted its only watering and cutting grass for the summer....but then I have to do dad's garden too....he can't do much nowadays although I let him poodle behind me pulling a few weeds...so he still feels useful, but I have a fold up chair out so he can sit down as soon as he needs to...
hi wbm - you for feeding the gasman too >?
minty x - a mate of mine has an electrical shop - I get fridge/freezer trays off him (from old ones he takes in off customers)-bore holes in bottom and use them as containers to grow eg scallions in - cheaper than buying eg window boxes
Morning bee xx ..sounds a good idea, I don't do veg everywhere is planted and it would not be used ..only 2 of us and not worth the effort...my neighbour has a veg plot with tatties, onions, leeks, also Tom's in his greenhouse...bit of rhubarb..he lobs some my way as I kept his lawns last year when he was laid up with broken leg....
That's fair enough minty. had an onion a while ago that sprouted in the drawer, so I put it in a pot to see what would happen. There now seems to be two there...always assuming the other one is an onion, it looks the same.
Morning all, sounds as though you had a very productive day minty, just admire the finished product and wallow in the glory of all the hard work.
We returned from visiting wheelchair bound friend yesterday afternoon, she seems to have settled really well into her new surrounds! at least now she's able to move about the bungalow quite freely! albeit slowly. Hubby looks more relaxed too.
I used to plant up plastic guttering in greenhouses....don't have greenhouse here...oh used the space for his playshed...full of hornby train layout ...
