Some people gesticulate? I've noticed older people do it more while taking but what purpose does it serve? Also if someone is having a heated discussion the gesticulation tends to be more wild lol.
have you ever been to Italy, they do so with wild abandon, i wondered at one point if i was witnessing a full scale family punch up at one venue, only to realise they were just have a family get together, they are the most voluble, expressive people on the planet,
Lol Emmie....that reminds me of a time me and OH were in the pub and some random stranger came up and started having a go at him. He thought we were arguing because of me waving my arms about.
the Irish are good at this too, having witnessed similar in Dublin, but it was all clean fun, no one got hurt, just that the Guinness was flowing, the Ceilidh was on, and away we all went.
i think most don't realise they are doing it, in fact its another way of speaking, think about this, someone cannot speak, is mute, so they have to use their hands to do sign language, no different,
People who speak with just their mouths are ...BORING.
Like texts, emails....the internet.
Meaningless, expressionless and.......impersonal.
Gesticulation adds passion, meaning and of course personal communication.
No they aren't. They are coached on how to do it in a non threatening way. The more you watch politicians hand movements the more you'll see that they appear to have no passion.
