Sudden Loss Of Voice

I suddenly started losing my voice about lunchtime today. It came on quite suddenly and all I've got left is a husky croak! No sore throat, cough or temperture. Not been doing a lot of talking either. Feel a bit wobbly if I'm honest, but nothing else.
Any ideas please?

Almost certainly a viral or bacterial infection.
ibuprofen 600mgms twice daily.
Do not whisper or shout, but speak in your normal way.
If in 3weeks time, there is no improvement, then see your GP.

Could be laringytis, sorry if spelling wrong. If so it usually goes after a couple of days. Take medication as per sqad and wish you better.
