oh no Anne, doesnt drink or smoke at all. maybe the odd wine or two through the years just like myself.
Her mum said that she looks far more yellow than she did when admitted to hospital on Wednesday. Will be told more tomorrow + more tests.
poor woman. so young.
Question Author
yes Anne, so young (48) and lovely lady. Love her so much, very close to me too. Imagine needing 4 transfusions since Wednesday.
Stopped passing water today so catheter now in. Looking grim i know.
Also, they've now drained her tummy of lots of fluids thats been building up.
So many things wrong with her.
what exactly is heart failure whatare chances of leading a decent life
Question Author
Visited here y/day in hospital, looking very grim. No sign that she will get better , so doctors wont say she is stable. I dread now to hear the word, heart failure!
She looks so very yellow and could only mumble y/day when she managed to open her eyes.
Sounds dreadful for you and her family pusskin. What is the actual diagnosis? I'm guessing the yellow is caused by liver malfunction?
Question Author
To be honest Prudie, there are so many things wrong with her, that the liver seems to be the main concern at mo. Her tummy is so bloated, feet as well.
Seems to be mainly her blood issues too. 4 transfusion hasnt made things any better, and doctor said there is still room for further deteriation.
We froze when he said that.
Question Author
Her blood count is stil a bit on the low side. Not inproved anything really.
Of dear, it doesn't sound very promising, you must all be very distressed, I'm sorry.
Puss..I fear the worst ..thinking of you and her family at this very difficult time....Will light a candle and say a prayer....xx
Question Author
Thank you prudie, murray.

Just had a text message. No change from y/day.
her blood troubles include very severe heavy nosebleeds, and has had her nose cautorised 4 times fairly recently , not too long ago.
We are all so worried sick, and dread hearing any bad news.
Thank you all so much for listening, have to talk or i feel like cracking up x
Any more news puss ?
So sorry, puss, only just read this thread. Have you heard anything further. I know of someone who had kidney and liver failure from eclampsia when she had her daughter. She was very ill, had dialysis for months and then a kidney transplant. She did eventually make a full recovery (no more children though).
Question Author
Latest update is they are starting her on steriods to aid the antibiotics. To get the toxins out of her body is a long long process!
She looks even more yellow today than she has all week, if thats poss.
Didnt look at all well today, and still very sleepy, shallow breathing, and oh heck, it all looks so grim.
I've been in and out of bed all day with raging sore throat, headache, sneezing.
is she still in itu. and have the medical staff given a diagnosis ?
Poor woman - it really is a wait and see time for you all.

Do look after yourself too. x
Question Author
No diagnosis that i know of anne.
There are so many things wrong, and cant really say what main problem is.
Believe it or not, they havent put her in icu yet, and thats more worrying knowing that they may think there is not much hope for her recovery?
Question Author
Thank you mamy, and all you lovely abers for listening to me x
I don't think that's the reason. I imagine they would put her there if it would help. Perhaps they have everything they can do under control. It's hard to know what to say- i just so wish her the best xx
Question Author
All i can really say at moment is there is room for further deteriation!
