Hi
I recently posted a question about pain after menopause http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Body-and-Soul/Health-and-Fitness/Question1329235.html and much appreciated your responses. Just after I posted I developed breast tenderness & then a full blown period which was very heavy. After 5 or so days everything went back to normal. Last week I went to the doctor regarding an unrelated issue. I mentioned about having a period after an absence of 14/15 months and she is now sending me for blood test, one of which is a CA 125 test which after googling I have discovered is to check for Ovarian cancer. I have had not pelvic pain ( apart from the week before my "Period" ), no weight loss...infact I have had the opposite, no problem with my bowels, eating etc. I do get a bit bloated after eating. I am having the test this friday & I am frankly s**t scared they will find something. The doctor never examined me are to any stats. All advice would be deeply appreciated X

There is little you can do but wait for the results of your test and your doctor is taking you concerns seriously in a routine and professional manner.

Any further advice......no....I can't think of any.

Cancer? Possibly, but a rank outsider.
