Severe Chest Pains On And Off

i have just today had severe chest pain, i have been drinking ( beer ) heavilly for 4 days solid now as i just got a break from work .....anyway ive had similar pain before, im wondering is it alcohol withdrawl ? or something else. feels like a crushing sensation and i have shortness of breath and need to take short breathes

suppose no one here can really tell me, only a test can help.

just wondering if anyone else gets chest pains like this.

Sensible thing to do for a guy of your age would be get checked out, didn't you say you moved house a short while ago, didn't overdo it then by any chance?

I have lost track of the number of times you and your previous entities have posted like this. You get lots of sound advice and then come back a wee while later with another similar issue.

You need to help yourself before anyone else can help you.

dick, get yourself round to your local A&E NOW. If you've had too much to drink to be able to drive, call an ambulance. Severe sudden chest pains souldn't be ignored, ever. Any pain in the arms or neck?

Go to the nearest A&E or phone NHS24 and if the pains get worse dial 999 for an ambulance. You need to get help.

Last March my 'grandfather' was tired all the time, feeling a bit low and generally not feeling brilliant ( he doesn't drink either) and for a few days had sporadic chest pains which came and went.He described it as being like someone putting a heavy weight on your chest so he could only pant for a few minutes, then it wore off and he ignored it, until it didn't and he went by ambulance to the hospital because he was in the throes of a massive heart attack. They had to insert some stents and managed to save him and he's been receiving further care from them for the last 15 months. He now lives with us because he's so ill and unable to do much. Don't be a plank, everyone knows that sudden chest pains need investigating by a hospital, so wise up and get yourself there by hook or by crook.

must say they are away now but they were bad 2 days ago, i seem to get this after drinking beer heavilly the next day, i will go get check up soon but the thing that puts me off is waiting in AE for 6-8 hours its a mare.

6-8 hours in A&E better than eternity six feet under. And they have all the necessary recovery equipment there should the massive heart attack which sounds likely hit you.

Perhaps you could try going to your local NHS walk in centre, prior to visiting A&E. Please seek medical advice, my partner ( who also likes his booze) had similar symptoms to yourself, and now has stents inserted.
