Took a drive through the wilds of Connemara yesterday with the cousin who could do with lessons in nosiness ...

In the rain...miles from anywhere....not a house, barn or church in sight we rounded a corner and almost collided with a young man who was stacking chairs.....at least a hundred, wooden, painted and seemingly new chairs.

Now I would have had to stop and ask him why he was there with the chairs... what he was going to do with them and who owned them.......not the cousin.... he drove on.

So....are men not as inquisitive as women....and what do you think he was doing with the chairs?

Off into town for a Guinness now......that'l

please the man who has to fix the internet every time I use it...Sláinte..

perhaps he was attempting to start a new business of some sort in the middle of nowhere - and he had appointed himself.........

wait for it

........chairman
probably just missed a ceilidh and the last man to the pub has to stack the chairs
Preparing for a bonfire or else waiting for someone he knows to come and pick them up.
Off for a Guinness.....Chairs
Stacking them?
If it were only three chairs.... Hip-hip hurrah, hip-hip hurrah, hip-hip hurrah.
Men are useless at such things. We had a lady working in our charity shop on a different shift from me. She worked with a male friend of mine. After about two years he still didn't know if she was married or had any children.

Useless !!
well i'm a bloke and i would have stopped and asked chairman what he was up to
It was the chairman

Frankly my dear ... . . !
You'd just missed the Guinness World Record attempt for the biggest game of musical chairs.
begorrah and bechairus. oi'm taking chair of them so oi am.
I've got my coat and going out the door now.
He obviously wasn't legless.
Me and mr.c once took an evening stroll down Souffend seafront and there was a young man filling gallon bottles with seawater...and then bowing like he was doing some sort of ritual...never found out what that was all about.
We just sat on a bench and watched...

Love the explanations!......Too many good ones for a BA....
Suppose they could be, Mallyh....though anyone who battled to the back of beyond for a festival of colour deserved better than beige chairs.

There is a huge festival here this weekend....allsorts arriving including Mystic Maud who has pitched up opposite my apartment.
Gone are the days of the horse drawn painted caravan and a crystal ball ....she's holding court in a luxurious camper van with a satellite dish.....

Off to have my palm read.......what will she predict????....xx
Was he in the chair for the first round of Guinness, gness ?. Anyhoo what did mystic Maud predict ?.
Had he been forewarned of your arrival and was preparing to look after the wounded?
