What's the best thing to use to get rid of hard skin on soles of your feet ? I've seen that 'express pedi' product but it's quite pricey. Any other suggestions please ?
I have the non-electric ped egg thing and that's not bad but the best I've found (although it's a bit yucky) is to soak your feet in a bowl of hot water laced with a dollop of Ariel/Persil and after about 10 minutes give them a good scrape with a hand held metal rough skin remover. Dry and moisturize.
I always use Carex moisturising shower cream, lovely soft soapy feet.
Just a few drops in the bowl is enough.
I feel like an old bird too, but tough annit, haha.
You really can't beat a good soak, then an exfoliating cream, rinse and have a go with a good pumice stone, then dry and moisturise, then go to bed with spa socks or nice cotton socks. In the morning your feet should be nice and soft.
There's a small stiff black scratchy block I buy from an ordinary chemists, - not Boots, and not Scholls - it comes in a transparent plastic box about the size of 2 matchboxes, and has a green label. I wish I could remember what it is called. Just go and look on the footcare counter of your local chemists. It works a treat - if only you can identify it. It may be called something like "Chiropody sponge" or "Chiropody pad"
Sorry, I threw the box away.
