A very dear friend of mine has just lost her husband. I need your help with what to put on the card. The words just won't come at the moment.
She is a Christian lady if that helps.
I would worry less about the wording and just get something in the post/through the door, timeliness in these situations is what counts in my experience.
Your bereavement verse should reflect your feelings:
"I'm sorry."
"Please let me know if there anything I can do."
"You are in my thoughts and prayers."
"He was a wonderful person. I'm so sorry he is no longer here with us."
"Please be gentle on yourself."
"Don't be sad. he would not want you to cry."
Keep it short is the key, just enough words to express your sympathy and to let her know that you are just a phone call away. 'Mamyalynne' pitched it just right.
cupid, I have a poem that I have sent a few people recently. I prefer not to publish it on here yet..... let me know on nungatetemp.com and I'll forward it to you. minty has a copy if you have her e-mail....
cupid pal, words don't come easily to me either on these occasions, but there have been really nice responses from fellow AnswerBankers and I'm sure you'll find the right words. God bless x.
