Did anyone watch the above programme last night?  How awful for the boy and his family...I totally felt for them and everyone with proteus syndrome.  I never knew it existed.  I had a box of tissue's next to me for the full hour.  I'm going to donate something towards the foundation after watching that.

What a brave little boy and a very supportive family.  I thought his best friend was brilliant and was touched by it all.

What an intelligent lad he was too, far beyond his nine years (and he had the face of an angel).  Very, very sad.  I admired his mother so much - she was amazing.

Indeed very sad. Did you ever see that documentary about the boy whose skin came off. Poor little mite couldn't even get a cuddle of his mum.

 

I suppose it is conditions like this that make me realise imperfections in myself such as a hairy back and poor eyesight at night are so minor in the grand scheme of things, they are not worth worrying about.
