Further to my previous thread. Still have slight pain in the groin and very stiff when I walk/limp. I feel like I am walking strangely, my spine feels a bit pushed to the opposite side and my rear is sticking out a bit more! I presume this is compensating for the pain/limp when I walk. Is this arthritic flare up here to stay, do you think,or will the pain go away completely so I can walk properly again? How long does it usually take? Thanks all.
It sounds to be the beginning of the end to your hip....painless in the dry weather, painful in the humidity of the summer and the cold winds of the winter.
I guess that a hip replacement is on the cards in the next 2 years.
If it is like my hip problems, it comes and goes. I attended a Pain clinic and it was suggested although xrays showed hip arthritis that the pain could be radiating from 'lumbar spondylosis' and was given acupuncture in lower back. It has eased the hip pain so it was worthwhile. Not sure how long it will last.
Just an update, doctor said I have arthritis in both hips, though not badly (not badly, with that pain?) and couldn't say when the pain in groin would go completely. I have to be careful not to twist my leg around and step down on leg 'straight', still aches though. .. I am now trying Cider Vinegar, will let you know if it helps.
