Weakness In One Leg And Leg Giving On Me

Hi there I have a weakness in my right leg it came on suddenly this afternoon Ive walked into town but every 5 minutes it kept on giving on me and it was like a spasm and I had to stop I almost fell over it is very weak at the moment I dont have any other symptoms

It could be a trapped nerve. I have a frozen shoulder with other complications and I sometimes have momentary weakness in my right hand. The problem could be coming from your back (maybe the lumber region). If I was you, I would keep an eye on it for a while. Sometimes these things resolve themselves.

I'm sorry that I can't suggest a cause but I thought that you might find it reassuring to know that exactly the same thing happened to me last year a few times but it seems to have gone away for good now and (unless I've failed to notice my funeral) I've not dropped dead yet!

Could this be the answer?
I had occasional severe pain in both calves when simply out walking, leaving me limping for a day or so. MD gave me Ibuprofen cream which was no use.
Then I went on holiday for a week and had no trouble at all and came back and had a good think and the only difference I could come up with was food.

I have lived alone for 22 years and have never added salt to anything, but earlier, my MD had put me on a kidney capsule Rampiral and I reckon that it had made the kidneys flush out salt too efficiently and made me salt deficient. Sure enough that was one of the side effects of the drug.

But on holiday, eating salty pub etc food made good the deficiency, so I now add salt to all food and have had no further problem.
