Karen Brady, on Radio4 this morning, said that if top companies don't have more "executive" directors on their Boards (as opposed to appointing women as non-executive directors, to make up the numbers), then it might be time to introduce quotas.
Seriously ...
Would you want to be given a job knowing that you were just the "best woman" but not the best candidate?
That you got the job because they were not allowed to appoint their first choice candidate?
Isn't that demeaning to women?
Aren't quotas demeaning to women?
I'd rather tell them to stuff it.
