As some of you are, I am going away soon to sunnier climes. However I am very scared of being eaten alive by mosquitos, as this has happened me before.
Does anyone know of a good and effective make of insect repellent?

Most insect repellent contain chemicals stong enough to strip nail varnish off - so I wouldn't recomend any of them. Try burning Citronella oil in your room or dilute it in a base oil and rub on your skin, esp. at dusk, to exposed areas like ankles and arms. Invest in a good mossie net, if on hols abroad - also good for keeping out other creapy crawlies too!! If you want to go down the chemical route, find a lotion with a high DEET percentage.
