I think there would be a resounding 'Out' voye.

The EU we are in now is extremely different from the EU we joined - the federal approach and alignment of currencies and trading has seen the UL marginalised more and more with every year that passes.

the Euro-philes always claim that European trading nations would not trade with us if we were outside the EU.

My perspective is - if the price is right, you will get customers.

Aligned with that is the perception that the UCOHU holds sway over our legal system, and that's a massive vote of favour of removing ourselves from its influence.

A more interesting question would be 'Would you like to see reforms to the EU, with less power to Brussels? and I think then you would see an overwhelming YES right across Europe.

Except that there is as much chance of meaningful reforms being achieved as there is of the LibDems gaining overall control of the Commons.

NJ; If there is a sufficient body of opinion across Europe reforms CAN be achieved. Alternative für Deutschland: (AfD) is a new party and it is already polling 10% of the electorate in recent elections. They don't want OUT, they just want reforms, which reflects an increasingly common feeling across the EU.

The EU is out of control with unelected officials pretty much ruling it and those elected simply on a gravy train.

There is not chance of reform, it would mean too many in power giving up the power and wealth. IT simply will not happen.

In addition the EU is diving back towards recession again.

Out out out!! As for trading, everything has its price and if the price is right other EU countries will still trade with us. It is costing us GB taxpayers billions, for what? It is not what we signed up too! Out out out!

This is all very interesting - I was a (reluctant) supporter of the EU but now I am beginning to wonder.
I wonder if the other EU countries have any desire to leave and how they would feel about the UK leaving

The CBI would bring out loads of scare stories, and the 3 main parties would campaign to stay in. I suspect the In would scrape it.

I think it would also depend on the state of the EU, it is not looking good again at the moment and since we are stuck with the EU as a major trading partner we will be dragged down with it if not careful.

Employers who sell more to EU countries than at home will instruct their employees how to vote, if they want to avoid the firm going under.

If only pollsters toured industrial estates, rather than shopping streets.
