My Dad had series of seizures, last night, lasting for over one hour. The longest seziure lasted for over seven minutes.
He has made it through the night and is still 'asleep'. Am I right in thinking that that those seziures will have taken an enormous toll on his brain function? He has never had seizures before and is not epileptic.
I will be asking this question, again when I go to the hopital later. I did ask it last night and was told, 'We don't know, until he wakes up'.
Suad it's a very long and complicated story. Basically, Dad is receiving only palliative care... lung disease, dementia and is at end of life stage. Now these seizures have added to the myriad of things which ail him.
He is awake now and able to move slightly and they have done a CT scan to assess what, if any, damage has been done.
Thanks, sibs. I'm ok today. Yesterday was a nightmare. xx
