It's very sad.

It's also very sad that anyone can get a job in a care home.

I have said to myself that I may have to end my days in a home - now they will have to drag me screaming into one of them.

I do know they are not all bad - but I truly believe that no-one knows what goes behind their rooms (mentally ill, disabled, and dementia)

So sad - he looks like a lovely lad.

The only thing I would like to know - why was he there - could his parents not look after him as he looked so vulnerable.

I had a Down's Syndrome cousin who was remarkable - her parents were deceased but the siblings took over - one sister was responsible for her. She died at 37. A wonderful character!!!

His parents are a a firefighter and a police woman - hardly jobs conducive to supplying 24 hour care to a disabled 19 year old.

I think the recent case of the lady that killed her 3 disabled children exposes how little support there can be for people.

thank God it was removed then - to think of my lovely cousin being aborted is unthinkable - and my aunt had 6 children before her and one after her making 8 - no - nobody on benefits as my uncle was a director of a company and my aunt never had to work.

Looked after the lot of them and was a wonderful cook and baker.

I read this last night and it made me cry, poor kid. Unfortunately these vile people who are taken on as 'carers' are nothing of the sort.
