My daughter is 35 weeks pregnant and keeps getting numbness and tingling sensation in her mouth and tongue, could this be the baby laying on a nerve?

No........this couldn't be the effect of the baby laying on a nerve.

I presume that she has had a recent antenatal check of her urine and BP to exclude PET. I cannot think of any cause for her numbness, but i would check with her GP or Obstetrician.

You know she had a fainting episode yesterday, didn't actually faint but went very dizzy and clammy, I have told her to call for advise.

She says her BP was fine at her appointment yesterday and the numbness is only occasionally, she also said she felt faint as she was hungry and I've to stop flapping :-/

Well....if it is her first baby.....then her symptoms may be due to anxiety, but after saying that, she needs to have some checks to exclude GD.

I`m no expert but dizzy spells, numbness and tingling in the mouth and tongue can be signs of hyperventilation (due to various causes of anxiety)
