I've just found another benefit to Ted Stockings other than they prevent edema, phlebitis and thrombosis.

They are a great place to hide money (notes) and a great place to put your phone/iPod. A bit like how some women put their phones in their bra's whilst out and about.

Pretty cool I think.

I managed to get a decent nights kip after having that lethal drug that put me unconscious looking like sid the slough from ice age as he sleeps on a tree trunk stump. It took 2 antiemetic's and 2 types of painkillers but I don't have sand bags under my eyes anymore.

The downside is that it's short lasting 8 hours tops. So I'm back to before but trying to keep optimistic.

Reminds me of the time when I broke my kneecap in two - plastered ankle to thigh - I managed to lose my pen down the cast.

It took 2 nurses and a porter and much ungainly movement to retrieve it.

Corylus: In my shoes but everytime I went to retrieve my money it was never there. They just did have any souls you see.
