Ladies, Sex, Impotence And Medication
36 Answers
if you're a lady and you meet someone who you want to have a relationship with (a male) and he is impotent because of the medication he is taking, would that affect your desire / choice to have a relationship?
I dont want to know about the usual platitudes...(love more important than sex, I love him because of who he his, he's such a wonderful guy etc)
I'd like a bit of honesty. Could you have a relationship with a guy that is impotent because he has to take medication.
And would you live in hope that one day he would be able to 'show' his love in a physical way?
Thanks.

This is very personal. I moved in with OH (widower of 17 years standing, then early 70's) because I loved him. We both hoped that a full relationship would ensue and tried for that. It proved not to work. We don't know why, possibly medication for a triple- heart- bypass. He's not that sort, but he even bought some pornographic stuff to see if it would work - no. I...

I am not a "laydeee."....but

Tens of thousands of men with impotence for various reasons are satisfying women physically culminating even in orgasm without the need for penile penetration.
Believe me!

FF, doubt it!!!! Dont do 'dates' anyway!
Sqad, dont doubt it, Ive suffered from impotence at different times in my life but have always been in a relationship at the time and always known what turns my partner on and able to 'make amends' as it were. (never had no complaints either ;-)
Its a bit more complicated when its a new relationship and you have to explain why you cant get it up.

no....it wouldn't bother me. i am married to my hubby because of who he is. mental health problems, poverty, homelessness, impotence and libido problems, physical disability and all. i am at a loss to understand anyone who enters or maintains a relationship based on anything other than......do i love this person? and by that, i mean the personality, humour, frailties, capacity to love, intelligence and moral compatibility. anything else is not love, but a sham....and in some cases, prostitution (in the case of sugar daddies or other fiscal gain etc.). i feel very sorry for anybody who would choose to have a relationship with somebody other than love......and for me it was love at first sight. very weird considering i am not a romantic or touchy-feely person. so yes - it wouldn't bother me and if this question is about you, then wait for the right woman to come along. we are out there and not all of us are shallow, scheming or materialistic - as portrayed so many times in this horrible moeren society of ours.
