Shame isn't a helpful emotion here - Gordie, it's often not made crystal clear that managing your blood sugar levels doesn't just mean avoiding sugar. It means you have to be aware of the carb content of everything you eat and drink. A carbohydrate-based meal is anything with lots of potato, pasta (which is made of flour), pizza, or any kind of crusty pie.
