People have died from dehydration after too much dancing, which could indirectly be attritutable to the drug, but there are many far more dangerous (and legal) drugs out there. How many people die from lung cancer or liver failure every year again? Which drugs are legal and which are illegal has nothing to do with the dangers involved, it is largely down to historical accident.
Yes, it is politically incorrect, but as long as you know the risks and are sensible, it is one of the safest drugs out there. Seal, you sound like a sensible lad who will weigh up the risks before truing it, and I applaud you for having the balls to ask the question :o)
Noy gonna be hypocritical and say don't take drugs under any circumstances, but a friend of mine was rushed into hospital after taking ecstasy - and not the first time. Not necessarily the MDMA, could've been ketamine or rat poison or whatever else it was cut with.
Another consideration is that you don't, and cannot know, that you are taking E. Preparation of these drugs is complex - and you don't know what other materials, contminants etc you are takeing. There was recently a four people in the states who instantly have full blowen parkinsens desease as a result of taking incorrectly prepared anphetamines. One of the victims was a young girl - 14-15 who took drugs for the first time. Now she is unable to move at all.
It is possible to take E or other drugs without a problem, but consider most of the problems may takers would consider serious would mean that they wont be posting here again.
Tried a few in my life. Nice feeling when coming up.. then your memory goes. Then the FEAR afterwards. Just me I think. Used to get the FEAR big time. Then I started getting panic attacks so I stopped them. Simply put, they mess with your brain chemistry. Some people can handle this, and others can't.
Stick to beer I'd say. Wouldn't wish those panic attacks on anyone, and they can lead to other more serious mental illness.
