Well this time tomorrow I will be back home hopefully my tooth comes out tomorrow afternoon at 3. It has had an abscess twice. I take a hefty dose of Lorezapam so I know I will feel much better when it kicks in. I just hope they manage to stop the bleeding Ok I'm on a blood thinner similar to warfarin for atrial fibrillation my doc says to miss out tonight's dose so blood might be a bit thicker my mind is working overtime imagining all sorts
Just know that all the pain you had with it will be done with - you've waited so long - I know how hard it is, I am phobic too but always keep my appointments.
gordie, please stop worrying, you will be relaxed and quite happy going into the dentist tomorrow with your cocktail of drugs, and just think no more toothache , good luck
All the best for tomorrow gordie,
I had a back tooth (wisdom) extracted a couple of weeks ago, and it's amazing how quick the procedure is and how good the pain relief is when it kicks in.
They'll give you a couple of gauze pads to go home with just in case (you can pop them in if the bleeding takes a while to stop).
Just remember to brush your teeth with caution for a few days afterwards and keep away from crisps and crusty bread for a bit ;-)
Good Luck
Don't worry Gordie. All will be well and you'll soon be free of the pain. Don't forget to ask them for your tooth so that you can put it under your pillow for the tooth fairy to leave a few quid. It was a 6d when I was a child but hey, that's inflation for you!
I'm the worlds biggest baby as far as dentists go, im even a gibbering wreak going for check ups, and im that petrified I won't even let them do a scale and polish so you have my full sympathy.
However I had two abscesses (one on each lower wisdom tooth) some years ago, and the relief when I had them taken out was immediate and immense, as yours will be. Chin up and keep thinking of the pain free time afterwards.
