Our son has a 6 month old kitten and yesterday he was having problems walking and sitting up, kept falling over an had no balance. Seemed fine in himself, eating and trying to play. Were going to take him to the vet this morning but he's perfectly ok. No sign of a problem. I wondered if he had had a mini stroke like people can get, and they can be ok afterwards. Any ideas anyone.

Animals can have strokes but at only 6 months old I think it would be unlikely. I would get him to the vet if it were me. Could be an ear Infection which would need antibiotics or something neurological, but it needs checking out.
this happened to our cat at about the same age,we took her to the vet and was told it was quite common in cats, she was perfectly ok within 24 hours but i can't remember what the treatment was. it has not happened since
