Hello, Sorry if I`m dragging up painful memories but I remember you once saying that your Dad became confused at the end of his life and the powers that be thought it might be something to do with his blood calcium levels. Did it happen suddenly or was it a slow progression? I`l understand if you don`t want to talk about it.
No that's fine 237. It was quite quick (the onset) and to be honest I think the medical staff were clutching at straws. It was more to,do with the fact that he'd tried to call the medical staff in the middle of the night and no one came so he tried to go himself and fell, hitting his head on the bed causing a subdural heamatoma.
Hope everything's ok.
Thanks Zacs. They normally do keep a check on calcium levels when disease is in the bones and the bone-strengthening drugs are good. I was just wondering about causes because my Mum has been a bit confused at times lately (not all the time) and we had a bit of an "event" this morning. I`m wondering if it`s gone into her brain now or if there is something else going on. Thanks again.
I`m not sure about the high calcium now Bednobs. They test calcium levels when they give Denosumab and they were Ok last time they checked. It was just a road I was going down to try to figure out what was going on.
