I am a fit 66 year old but I am presently suffering from sciatica due to a bulging disc. Any body else having this complaint with possible cure?

Although loads of people roll their eyes when I mention chiropractors (like they are some sort of quacks), they can treat your condition and thereby remove the pain without the need to consider a lifetime of medication. Despite what some people say, they can make you better and if they are responsible they will encourage you to go for follow-up 'rehab' which gives you exercises to do to strengthen the muscles and prevent the disc bulging again. The time has passed when people say that they have a bad back and expect that they have to live with it for the rest of their days. I think the name of the treatment they gave me was called 'flexion and distraction' and in case you need any reassurance, it is very gentle and is painfree.
What I would recommend though is that you go and see a chiropractor who has been recommended to you by someone you trust because there are a lot of scamsters out there.
Best wishes.
Please don't neglect this condition. I ignored my sciatica, had to undergo surgery for a prolapsed disc which burst and have suffered niggling back pain ever since. However, I have acquired a mavellous invention called a Rola Stretcher. It's a small wooden curved rack with rollers on which you lie. It gently stretches the spine, decompresses the discs and massages the muscles as you slowly move along it. It has relieved me from constantly taking painkillers for sciatica. It costs about 80 abut for me it has been worth every penny. The last contact I had for the supplier was ENANEF, c/o Freepost SEA 4967, Dorking, Surrey Tel: 0700-222-5724. Good luck. Hope you soon get it sorted.
