Cough Medicine

I am still having post nasal drip and end up coughing like mad to bring the phlegm up. Sqad, do you think I should take some cough medicine ?

im not sqad, but my opinion is that it can't hurt

I am not sure that ANY cough medicine will help as the cough is a defense mechanism against the phlegm causing problems in the chest.

Stick it out Sam...it will settle.

That's what I thought Sqad. I am just spraying with Nasonex and taking ibuprofeno. But it just goes on and on. I am seeing another ENT next week, see what he suggests. Each attack takes weeks to go and then a few weeks later I get another one. It is beginning to bring me down and I am so fed up. I have no sense of taste or smell , little appetite and little energy. No fever though so I can hardly justify staying at home in bed.

I will keep you updated Sqad. My appointment is next week, Wednesday. Apparently he is a reputable ENT surgeon here in Spain.
