Earring Back Stuck In Ear?
5 Answers
I woke up this morning with a pain in my ear. I decided to pay no attention to it (bad choice, yeah I know). So, about 15 minutes ago I decided to check my ears to see if everything was alright. I discovered that the back of my earring was stuck in my ear, and it was bleeding. The earring back is not a butterfly back, it is one of those small clear ones. I am scared and I don't want to tell my mom. Any advice?

Which bit of your ear? In side the ear hole or do you mean it has gone into the skin in the back of your ear? I had a piercing done many years ago in my upper ear, woke up to find the skin had completely closed over it and it was cut out by a scalpel by a GP at my appointment fine and healed well. Did you get this sorted? Just tell your Mum. It's much better to get it sorted out than let it get worse. Why would your Mum mind anyway? She can call 111 (the non emergency NHS number) who may tell you how to get it out or she can make an appointment to see your doctor. Has it actually gone inside your ear or is just stuck in your ear-lobe?

Either way you need to tell your Mom to make sure it is treated properly and doesn't get worse and needs more treatment. Is there a reason you are worried about telling her? Are you not supposed to wear earrings or take them out for bed or worried about the cost of the medical treatment?
I don't know the circumstances but I imagine that she would be more upset if you didn't tell her and let her help you get it sorted.
