Cancun In May?

Hi there,
I'm going to Cancun, Mexico on the 2nd of May for two weeks (back 16th).
Does anyone know what the weather is like at that time of the year. Looked on Acuweather a couple of weeks ago, and didn't like what I saw for them dates in Cancun. However, my mate told me not to pay any attention to it, and reckons it will be nice the whole time with just a few downpours that will last no more than 20 minutes or so. Anyone got any Ideas?

have a look at holiday weather. Yes, there is more rain, but there are also more sunshine hours. Whatever the weather, I'm sure you'll have an amazing time.
