Food Statistics Needed, Please

I can discover the total of calories produced by US food manufacturers, which turns out ( surprise, surprise) to be almost twice the total requirement of the whole US population. Very few US food manufacturers export much of what they produce, so they have to be very aggressive in persuading Americans to buy and eat ( or throw away) almost twice as much as they need. Hence obesity and huge amounts of food waste. How do I find the same statistics for the UK ? That is, the total of calories produced, and the total calories actually required by the entire population. I shall have to assume that UK food manufacturers do export some of their products, so I may not be able to make an exact comparison, but the figures could turn out to be very interesting.
