Hi there,
I scalded myself on my wrist 10 weeks ago and had all the appropriate treatment from the medics.
I am glad to say that it is healing well and I have managed to protect if from scratches and infection etc by wearing a very loose oversized tubi grip when I have done certain activities. ( Gardening cooking housework etc)
I wondered if anyone can come up with neater way to protect it?
I had thought of a sweat band but they are all elasticated and tight fitting by their very nature.
I am asking as I will be on holiday soon and want to protect it but for want to be able to dress up without it being super obvious. Thaks for any ideas!!

If it is not a large scale you could put one of the blister plasters on it. I burnt my thumb and the pharmacist recommended wrapping it in a compeed blister plaster. As they protect the blister and they are clear so not so noticeable, also the blister will heal with the plaster on.
A melolin dressing is good for burns, and will probably suit a scald. I burnt myself badly before going on holiday last year and it did not do well in the sun. In fact looked absolutely awful. The local pharmacy sold me some of these which protected it and helped it heal.

It is healed well so I was thinking of something temporary that I can take on and off like I am doing with the tubi grip bandage. thanks
have you tried NEW SKIN it comes in a bottle like nail varnish , I think it is made by Germolene you just paint it over the wound and it makes an invisible shield which is washable

The area is quite large so maybe NEW SKIN would be too "stiff" and crack? But I do have some I could try with. thanks
Have you thought of some sort of fingerless glove, might look glamorous!
