Urea Breath Test

Has anyone had one of these? I have the pleasure tomorrow morning and was wondering if the liquid they make you drink tastes disgusting.

I've not heard this, rocky - how does it work? "Urea" and "breath" don't seem compatible!

It's a rapid test for the presence of H.Pylori. You drink some concoction and blow into a tube, 30 minutes later you drink another concoction and blow into another tube.

Not looking forward to it. Have to fast as well, so no brekkie for me.

In the leaflet it says I have to drink liquid.

I hope the leaflet is wrong and I do have a capsule, I gag violently if something tastes awful.

I have had that test.
I do not remember the liquid as being in any way distasteful.

I have had that test, the liquid was like a very sour sort of concoction, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.

I have an endoscopy/gastrophy coming up, wanna swap?? ;)

Ooh, no thanks. I had the gastroscopy just before Christmas, I don't fancy a repeat. I'm praying they don't want me to have another one.
