I had one done last year in A&E because of high blood pressure due to anxiety.

My question is, would this test have shown blocked or furred up arteries and any heartt diesese ?

You would not have had a CT Angiogram in A&E as this is a specialised investigation involving an injection into a vein and X-Rays with specialised equipment and medical staff.

Yes, it would show, aneurysms (weakness)blocked or narrowed blood vessels.

Much more information is needed such as which blood vessels were investigated.....brain or heart.

Yes Sqad I did have the injection into vein. Once on the scanner, I was told I would feel a feeling of heat that started at my head and worked its way through my body. I did and then had the feeling of wanting to use the bathroom straight after.

They were looking at my aorta.
;-)...OK sammy, that is quite clear.

As far as the aorta is concerned, they would be looking for an aneurysm ( weakening of the wall) and clearly there wasn't one.

The neck, coronary (heart) and cerebral (brain) vessels would also be visualized and once again, no blockage, narrowing, weakness or bleeding was noted.

All clear.
