am finding lately maybe in the last one or two months my legs feel very heavy as in walking. I may not have been a long walker but I did walk quick. I know nothing of the above subject but anybody help me re the heaviness. It is depressing and worrying me that I can't move so quickly. Thanks for any answers.

More likely to be poor muscle tone.

Hardening of the arteries will just mean you have to breath more and get out of breath, rather than tiredness or heavy legged.

Try walking a short distance but further EVERY day.

thanks Gromit for that wee bit of reassurance - I am just back from the vets which is literally at the bottom of the street for Maxie getting his annual injections and I couldn't believe myself walking up my cul-de-sac which is short. Took me like 15 mins which should have been 2 mins. God what next will I take.

ps thank god - my breathing is very good and am just putting this in for good measure - when I went to the doctors 2 weeks ago - she said she never saw as fantastic blood pressure result in quite some time - so my blood pressure is great.
Found this. You probably should see a doctor just to check it is not something serious

What would the medical profession do without the internet?

well Gromit read that link and unfortunately a cholesterol test was taken that day (the blood pressure was great!) I got a note to tell me that cholesterol has "raised" - they wouldn't tell me the number (ie receptionist) - I can only get result from doctor herself - and you have to ring between 8 am and 10 am and believe it or not you can never get through. I have added this to my list for the doctor when I get there believe it or not in September as she (doctor) is on holidays. Probably has something to do cholesterol. Thanks Gromit for the link.
