Furosimide

Anyone on furosemide ( water tablet )

Gp has prescribed it for me and says that they recomend a blood test in about 3 weeks after to check that the kidneys have not been adversely affected ( 'drying up' i think she said )

( i know all medication has side effects but this sounds a bit - well, not good)

Bazile....don't worry....millions (well tens of thousands) of people are on Frusemide( Lasix, Furosemide)............stop worrying and get on with it.

nothing wrong with checking on side-effects rather than waiting for something to go wrong and scare you. Wish I had your doctor.

I found it way too strong, I was rushing to the loo every hour all morning after I'd taken one (not good on a coach-tour holiday).
