My historian wife has been studying the politics of Islam for some time and it is a regular topic at the Khandro breakfast table. These facts come from a book called "Der Islamische Faschimus" by Hamed Abdel-Samad and others.
The Muslim Brotherhood was founded in Ismailia, Egypt by Hassan al-Banna in March 1928. He was completely enamoured with, and attended and read speeches by Mussolini in 1924, and later Hitler. He visited them and with Eichman discussed the total eradication of Jewry.
It is a fascist organization as Mohamed Morsi demonstrated by attempting to tear up the Egyptian constitution before he was removed from power,

This lecture and Q&A by him, (Hamed Abdel-Samad) is really important, and summarises his book ( ^ above) I strongly advise all on here and beyond to watch. It's in German but the subtitles are very good and convey his easy eloquence, all done without notes.

Nobody ever following closely the teachings in the New Testament could use it to justify any kind of violence.
Somebody following closely the teachings in the Koran have all the justification they need to behave in the way that appals us.
Yet our own dopey leaders still fall for the Muslim rhetoric as a religion of peace.
