I figured it was best to get it all out of the way in one go, then it all heals together. Looking back it would have been far more of a faff and time-consuming to have them done separately.
I was back and forth to podiatry though with it as they didn't heal well at first and there were some burns from the chemicals but as I can't bend very well to reach my feet, it was difficult for me to take care of them properly. Podiatry were great! Sure I had steroids too at one point which could have delayed healing. Had some antibiotics too.
They were very bandaged up initially, back after 24 hours for a check and dressing change, then went to lesser Mepore type dressings afterwards for a few months.
They were sore but as it was colder weather I lived in fluffy boots which had plenty of room round the toes and easy to get on and off. I was more worried initially about someone treading on them on the bus! My mobility is pretty rubbish anyway but I wouldn't say having this done made it worse, just far more occupied in keeping my toes guarded and untouched.
