Persistant Foot Pain - Update

I went to a podiatrist today. I thought I would try that before resorting to the GP for blood tests. He said straight away that he can see my toes are "grippy" and he thinks I have problems with my fourth metatasals. That does seem to be where most of the discomfort is. He has ordered me some orthotics and wants me to wear them for 6 weeks and then go back for a follow up.

Thanks for the update.
"Grippy" eh?........;-)

Seeing that I came out of there £150 lighter, maybe it should be "gripey"
any chance they're grippy in response to the pain? Not that I'm a podiatrist or anything.
I think you should have started with a visit to your GP, s/he has no vested interest in selling you anything.
