Facebook - "accidentally" Unfriending Someone ????

Just wondered what your thoughts are on this.
A while ago my missus found that my sister had unfriended her. She asked her about this and she said she didn't realise how/why it had happened so a friend request was sent and accepted. Since then, she's unfriended her again .... apparently an accident again ....
Just recently, a lifelong friend of mine unfriended me. I asked her why and she replied that she didn't realise how/why it had happened .... etc.
I've had a few other examples of this, with people replying that they didn't realise it had happened .... I shall await the barrage of "billy-no-mates" lol .....
Is this just a load of bull, or does Facebook occasionally unfriend people for no reason ??
Just wondering if anyone has had similar experiences ??

Well it has never happened to me yet.
I have been un-friended and done the same to people once on my friends list, but it was a manual process and initiated.

I have accidentally unfriended someone, it's easy to do. I have deliberately unfriended people too. I sent a message to the wrong person once, and it wasn't just a 'hi, how are you?' The only way to delete the message was to unfriend and block the person, not ideal but temporarily got me out of trouble!

I have had people unfriend me. I hadn't noticed until they have had to send me a message (Usually someone that has taken umbrage to something at work!)

I disagree,....it is not an easy thing to do "accidentally". I think you are even asked "are you sure?"

It's very easy to unfriend someone and also to send a friends request to someone you don't know from a bar of soap.

It can just happen when you're scrolling.

It depends on whether they are using a laptop/computer or a mobile. It is very hard to do it by mistake on a laptop but easy on a mobile as you scroll through quickly.

My Daughter unfriends me on a regular basis, says she's just having a clear out - not sure I believe her ;-)
