Keeping O2 Mobile Number To New Network Provider

i want to keep my very old o2 number which is unique and put it onto a new sim card provider ( id network) but the old o2 numbers bill was not paid to o2 and was cut off.

so will o2 give me a pac code for this old number ?

You might find that your number has died. I was told by Vodafone that, because of the shortage of numbers, a government regulation demands that SIMs die after a period of non-use (3 or 6 minths, I think).
No real help I know but my guess is that if you are cut off then you have already lost the number.
I just got a code from O2 the other day.

Phone them on 0344 809 0202 and they'll soon let you know what's what.
Diesel if you offer to pay the outstanding balance they might be more understanding

im getting a new sim from giff gaff ( cheapest and best around ) £12 bundle 4g gives 3gb internet and 1000 minutes.

i have ordered another gold number sim from ebay £20. so will change the new sim from ebay onto the giffgaff payg .
Why didn't you just order a free sim from Giffgaff ?

because i got a very unique gold number off ebay - 0785 4444 111 or something similar to this number.

so worth paying £20 to get an easy to remember number.
